Recording: FREE Creative Alchemy Cycle Workshop

For those of you who were not able to join me live, here is a recording of the Creative Alchemy Cycle workshop that I hosted on Friday, August 13th. This is a 90 minute workshop. The first 65 minutes are devoted to writing and sketch prompts and the final 25 minutes are about my year-long e-course the Creative Alchemy Cycle. This workshop was designed to give folks a taste of what the Creative Alchemy Cycle entails!

Here are the sources and inspiration you’ll hear named in my offering:

✦ Opening poem: "Just for Now" by Danna Faulds

✦ Land Acknowledgement: Indigenous Land Map for those of you looking to better understand who has stewarded and was forcibly removed from the land on which you stand

✦ Our first writing prompt made use of the Creative Alchemy Oracle Deck and was inspired by the work of Chris Corsini

✦ I shared the idea of a Cultural Bio (informed by the work of Desiree Adaway Group)

✦ I shared this poem as inspiration for our second writing/sketch prompt: "I am From"by Mary Pipher from her book Writing to Change the World. (Thank you to poet and author Julia Shipley for introducing me to Pipher’s work.)

✦ Further journal work: I left everyone with this prompt from artist and activist Saifa Wall: "Who do you free in your lineage when you tell your story?" I also offered this alternative prompt: "Who do you heal in your lineage when you tell your story?"

Please reach out directly if you have any follow-up questions or thoughts. I love hearing from you! If you’re interested in joining the next round of the Creative Alchemcy Cycle, please subscirbe through Patreon before September 10th!

If you are interested in equity access rates and options, please contact me. No one will be turned away for lack of traditional funding. Yay for community care!
