Solitude

I have always craved solitude. Not because I don't care for people or talking - in fact I love being with people. No, I crave solitude because I love my own company. I like knowing what I think and understanding what I feel. And these two all-important things seem to only happen for me in solitude.

"Being solitary is being alone well: being alone luxuriously immersed in doings of your own choice, aware of the fullness of your won presence rather than the absence of others. Because solitude is an achievement." - Alice Koller

"On the far shores of solitude, some basic questions find answers." - Alice Koller
