Dutch Master

I recently discovered the Danish painter Carl Holsoe (1863-1935).  How have I never known of his work before now?  I have spent the past few days mesmerized by his subjects.  The women, whether working, thinking, reading or merely in repose are infinitely interesting to me.  And the rooms which they inhabit are so detailed, giving the onlooker a real sense of decor and furniture from the turn of the last century.  Here are some amazing examples of his work.  Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
